We need experts in environmental-education! Join us for a unique opportunity to make a real social and environmental change. Requirements:

• Good guys who love nature and people.
• Ability to work in a team and train local guides.
• Former experience in planning, organizing and carrying out environmental-education activities.
• Experience in working with little children, both primary school and pre-school children.
• Ability to develop creative interactive environmental games and activities, adjusted for different local schools.
• Good Spanish.
• Minimum six months volunteering period is required.
• Accomodation options: volunteers can stay for free at the dorm at SONATI hostel if they help in the hostel reception or in guiding tours, at list 4 days a week. Volunteers can work only at the environmental project, but in this case we cannot supply them with free accomodation.

Nature-conservation: Los Madroños Nature-Reserve

Help to establish the new nature-reserve, Los Madroños, a new initiative to combine between nature-conservation and sustainable agriculture. The following help is needed:

• Establishing new routes in the reserve.
• Help in reforestation.
• Help the local families to improve facilities for tourists.

Volunteering at SONATI hostel in Leon, Nicaragua

Stay at Leon, experience the local culture and meet people from all over the world. We need volunteers to work at the reception at our hostel in Leon; volunteers can stay for free at the dorm room and are asked to work 5 days a week. Volnteers can join all our tours for free. Requirements:

• Good guys who love nature and people.
• Ability to work in team.
• Friendly, very good inter-personal communicative abilities.
• Very high customers' service awareness.

Climb volcanoes, cross mangrove swamps, stay at Leon, experience the local culture and meet people from all over the world. We need volunteers to work as trekking guides in SONATI tour operator in Leon; volunteers can stay for free at the dorm room and are asked to work 5 days a week. Requirements:

Volunteering in Leon, Nicaragua

If you have your own initiative to volunteer in Leon we will be very happy to help you! We will use the good contacts we have in the city, with many schools and other organizations, to help different people to create their own volunteering project. Few examples: working with school children (teaching English, art, math...), improving the bad conditions of the local zoo, help street kids, etc... SONATI will not follow and finance these projects, but we can help open doors for those independent good persons who like to volunteer in Leon.
